Dear Jennifer, I have been a student at VT and I knew your brother. Not all that well, but I was also a student in the environmental engineering department. I just wanted to tell you, that I am so impressed by what you have done and that I am happy for you that you found peace! I am looking forward to reading your book. Many greetings from Nairobi, Bine

I recently read the book "Leaving Virginia" and was so enthralled, I devoured it in 4 evenings. During the reading, I could identify on many levels---I'm an avid cyclist and most importantly, I, too, lost my brother in 2009 due to a motorcycle accident. The book brought back great memories of our past together. Very well written and certainly a page-turner.

Hi Jen, I was a student in your anatomy and physiology class about a year a half ago and I just remembered you wrote this book!! I have been riding my bike more and more lately and now I just bought your book. By a long shot you were my favorite professor I have had in college ever . Can't wait to read the book and I hope that you are doing great!! =-)

I recieved this book durring my week at 4-H camp with your mother & brother. I must say it is a wonderful book originating from a terrible event. I'm only 1/2 way through the book (just about to follow you into Missouri) and I can't wait to read the rest of your adventures.
