Herbie's Hometown Loop An annual 4 mile run/walk, 16 mile bike, and 7 mile kayak event (all separate events) held in memory of Jeremy. All proceeds go to The Jeremy Herbstritt Memorial Fund and will be used to fund an annual scholarship awarded to a Bellefonte Area H.S. senior intending to pursue a degree in science, math, and/or engineering. Additionally, we intend to use the funds to assist in the building of a track and/or running path for the Bellefonte community. |

| 4/20/2011 | 6:30pm | Jeremy's Race Initially put on by Penn State's Civil Engineering Dept., this is an annual 5K race held in memory of Jeremy on the anniversary of his death. Begins and ends at the IM building on campus, directly across from the Shield's bldg. parking lot, where Jeremy and I used to meet regularly for our evening runs. A candle-lighting memorial service follows. |
